Here at Skate World, we’ll take any excuse to throw a roller-skating party. And what better excuse than National Roller-Skating Month? October officially kicks off the season of nation-wide celebration of our favorite sport, and we’re kicking off October with FREE roller-skating for kids and their families.
National Roller-Skating Month
October is full of events for families to celebrate tomorrow. This month Skate World is supporting Breast Cancer Awareness Month with Pink the Rink on Saturday, October 18th. We’re also planning not one, but two awesome Halloween events for Lakeland families: the Halloween Skate Jam and Costume Contest and Tiny Tots Halloween. But we can’t help but get doubly excited about National Roller-Skating Month. Starting Wednesday rinks across the country will be throwing skating parties, offering special discounts on family fun, and promoting the health benefits of roller-skating. We can’t wait to join in the fun!
Free Skate Friday
What’s the only thing better than roller-skating? FREE roller-skating! We’re kicking off a month of fun and family fitness with an After School Skate like no other. This Friday, October 3rd all skaters under 12 will get free admission to After School Skate. Elementary students, siblings, and whole families are welcome to strap on their skates, get kooky with Kooky, and celebrate their favorite way to exercise. The free fun runs from 3:30-6:30pm.
