Did you know that October is National Roller-Skating Month? You can bet we’re planning a full calendar of fantastic events to celebrate roller-skating, Halloween, and the fall season next month. But that doesn’t mean we can’t have a blast this September! If your kids are starting to drag from the homework load, take a night off. Our Friday events this September are sure to help them roll off some steam!
Wrap the Rink
October 30th might be known as Mischief Night, but here at Skate World, we support safe, supervised mischief all season long! Kids love our Wrap the Rink skate event. And why wouldn’t they? Skaters can let loose their inner hooligans as they TP the rink, their friends, and the Skate World staff! Mummify our skate guards and watch them try to skate, or toss your roll up into the rafters and see how much toilet paper sticks. It’s the one night of the year kids won’t get fussed at for leaving a mess. Here’s what you need to know:
- Wrap the Rink happens Friday, September 12th from 7-10:30pm
- Admission is $6 (+ skate rentals)
- Bring your own toilet paper or buy a roll for just $1
- There will be a mummy competition!
College Apparel Night
It’s game time! Show off your school spirit while you skate and reap the rewards of your fervent support of Florida football. Next Friday, September 19th we’re throwing a pre-tailgate skate party for Florida football lovers! Wear your favorite college gear and get $2 off the price of admission. Kick off football weekend with your favorite Seminoles, Gaters, Bulls, and Hurricanes fans! Our Friday event will feature skating, snacks, and plenty of team spirit. The fun rolls on from 7-10:30pm, leaving you plenty of time to make it to Saturday game day events. It’s a big weekend for college football!
- Florida State Seminoles vs. Clemson Tigers (Saturday, September 20th at 8pm)
- Miami Hurricanes vs. Nebraska Cornhuskers (Saturday, September 20th at 8pm)
- Florida Gators vs. Alabama Crimson Tide (Saturday, September 20th at 3:30pm)
